INDONESIA
Marcel first came to visit
Indonesia more than twenty-five years ago, because of his close
family connections with the country. His maternal grandfather came
from the Kraton or Palace from Solo (Surakarta) on the island of
Java.
Marcel instantly fell in love with
the country, its people and their culture and from this first visit
decided to build a home here in Indonesia that is enjoyed by all his
guests, Puri Mas Boutique Hotel and Village. |
MOROCCO
North Africa holds strong
contrasts to Indonesia with its barren dessert, intense heat and
close location to Europe. The similarities lie in the culture of the
people who are predominantly Muslim, and the fact that European
countries have occupied both. It is this, together with their
people’s amazing ability to produce such colourful and interesting
arts and crafts, which has driven Marcel to create such a wonderful
property Riad Marrat in the village of Amzerou close to Zagora in
the South of Morocco. |
FRANCE
Marcel’s sophistication and
style is displayed in his choice of the Chateau Rion. What better
home for many of Marcel’s most precious antiques and art works.
