INTRODUCTION
Chateau Rion is located in a popular
sightseeing area in the South West of France close to the wild
Atlantic Ocean. The chateau is situated between Bordeaux and the
Spanish border near to the famous old city of Bayonne and the
bathing beachside town of Biarritz, made fashionable in the past by
the rich and famous and now also a very popular surfing beach.

The Chateau’s perfect location allows guests to
enjoy winter skiing in the Pyrenees Mountains, surfing the nearby beaches,
exploring the wild coastlines, absorbing the peace and solitude of being hidden away amongst one of
the largest and most famous pine forests of Europe and heading over the nearby
border into Spain to take advantage of the duty free shops in the Basque
countryside.

This beautiful chateau was built between 1820
and 1860 by a noble family who at the time also owned many
vineyards. The Chateau has three towers in Italian style each one
unique in its design. It is set in 14 hectares of parkland and
landscaped gardens. |
