The entrance to Riad Marrat is through a central courtyard. You will be greeted immediately by the tranquil sound of water flowing softly from the grand marble fountain that stands in a beautiful expertly tiled pond.

Customarily the courtyard would be open to the outside, however, because of sand storms in the Sahara Dessert the courtyard of Riad Marrat has been enclosed with a grand ceiling plastered and carved by master craftsmen in traditional Moroccan designs. In the centre of the ceiling is a large dome decorated with coloured glass from the region.

The interior of Riad Marrat has been superbly decorated using fine Moroccan tiles, exquisite antique furniture and fine arts collected from Morocco and Syria.

Aladdin himself would have a difficult time deciding which lamp to rub here as the owner has chosen some exotic free standing and hanging brass lamps bejewelled with precious stones and coloured glass.

A sojourn at Riad Marrat is like stepping into a fairy tale of Aladdin or Ali Baba. To stay here you will without doubt feel that the genie has granted you a wish.
